Post Consumer Waste

Post Consumer Waste (pcw) percentages refer to the amount of consumed-paper that was used to make the recycled-content paper.  Sometimes manufacturers will specify pre-consumer waste up to 100%, which is simply using industrial wastes that would be collected and processed regardless.  That is why the post-consumer % is more important.

High pcw paper of good quality no longer jams printers, even when printing large volumes.  Talk to your vendor to ensure that you get a high quality paper that does not jam printers. While there may be an added cost, if you follow the tips to reduce paper use, the cost has been proven to be offset at other offices.
