San Benito County: Creating Change, One Step at a Time
There are an incredible 69 certified Green Businesses in San Benito County, of those certified businesses, there are many unsung heroes who may not come to mind when we hear Green Business. Through recent efforts, 22 of the 69 certified Green Businesses in the County are childcare facilities. Check out this video highlighting the Hollister Child Development Center, the largest certified childcare center in San Benito County, as they share their experience and the benefits of switching away from disposable, single-use plastic foodware to reusable alternatives. The center installed a new dishwasher and used program incentives during certification to help make the change.
