Rooted in Santa Cruz County, Discretion Brewing is a family-owned business that fosters community connections and love for the natural world whilst brewing delicious beer. How do they do it? On Love Mondays, they recognize and encourage local groups doing extraordinary things, and make a donation toward their cause. Only organic ingredients are used at Discretion and 100% of the spent grain is diverted to local farms where very lucky pigs feast on the goodness left over after a brew day, sparing the landfill of more than 225,000 pounds of grain a year. They are also the first Santa Cruz brewery to invest in solar power.
