How Do I Get Certified?

Step 1

Starting is easy. Register here and fill out a short application to tell us a little bit about your business.

Your program coordinator will reach out to you via phone or email to talk about some of the requirements and benefits of the Green Business Program. You will also set up a time for an in-person meeting at this time.

You may also contact Lisa Ryder Moore, your program coordinator, directly at lisarydermoore@gmail.com

Step 2

Technical Support

Meet your program coordinator at your business to go through the checklist and learn what is needed for certification.

All businesses in the Green Business Program will be eligible for up to $500 in grant funding in the form of a rebate once you become certified.

Step 3

Make Changes and Work Toward Certification

As you work through your checklist, your program coordinator will help you through any parts that are tricky, give suggestions for what changes you could implement to meet the program requirements, and connect you with any rebates and resources available.

Step 4

Certification and Recognition

Once your coordinator verifies that you have met the requirements of the Green Business Program, you will receive a sticker for your window, a logo for your website and promotional materials, access to a promotional toolkit to spread the word about your business and your certification, you will be listed on the California Green Business Directory and Shop Green app, and you will be recognized with a certificate from the Mayor and Councilmembers at a City Council Meeting.

Sounds great! Sign me up.
