Mammoth Lakes Ban the Bottle campaign
An online campaign was launched on November 19, 2019 by a group of local community members to garner support for Ban the Bottle Mammoth. The petition is in support of a ban on the sale of single-use plastics (24 oz. or less) in town containing water. Local residents, second homeowners, and others who are passionate about Mammoth Lakes have responded, and the petition currently has about 3,000 signatures.
The committee will present the signatures of support to the Town Council later this spring with hopes of the ban being in place by late fall/early winter 2020.
