Valley Water Commercial Rebates

Valley Water offers a variety of rebates and free services for commercial properties, including HOAs and schools. Find additional information on rebate amounts, requirements, and eligibility here.

Landscape Rebate Program

This program is designed to encourage residents and businesses to convert approved high-water use landscape, such as lawns and pools, to low-water use landscape, as well as to retrofit existing irrigation equipment with approved high-efficiency irrigation equipment.

You may qualify for rebates valued up to:

- $3,000* for residential sites 

- $100,000* for commercial/multi-family sites (5 or more units)
*Maximum rebates may be even higher in some cost sharing areas

 

Water Efficient Technology (WET) Rebate

The Water Efficient Technology (WET) Rebate Program is designed to help commercial, industrial, institutional facilities, and multi-family residential complexes implement equipment changes that reduce water usage. 

Your property may qualify for rebates up to $100,000 per conservation project.

Fixture Replacement Program

Valley Water's Fixture Replacement Program replaces qualifying inefficient indoor plumbing fixtures for free at qualifying multi-family properties (with 4 units or more), commercial, industrial, or institutional properties. Licensed plumbers from our contractor Bottom Line Utility Solutions (BLUS) will replace inefficient or non-compliant toilets, urinals, showerheads, faucet aerators, and pre-rinse spray valves. Program funding capacity is limited and based on a first come, first served basis.

BayREN Business Program

Save money on your next energy upgrade project with BayREN Business. Incentives are available for energy efficient HVAC, refrigeration, LED lighting, water heating, envelope improvements, and more. By participating in this program, you can reduce energy consumption, enhance air quality, and improve the comfort of your business. 

BayREN Business supports local small business owners who are eager to embrace energy efficiency. The program is accepting applications for businesses that meet the eligibility criteria for participation.

Refrigerant Replacement 

The BayREN Refrigerant Replacement (BRRR) Program helps Bay Area food and floral businesses reduce greenhouse gas emissions by swapping out harmful refrigerants for more environmentally-friendly alternatives. Additionally, the program installs energy efficient equipment that will help lower utility bills. All this at little to no-cost to the businesses.  

How to Participate

  1. Email BRRR to complete your interest form: env-bayrenbpa@sfgov.org.  BayREN will reach out within 5 business days to discuss your eligibility and provide an overview of the program, however, the program does not launch until 2025. 
  2. Schedule a free equipment evaluation.
  3. Receive start-to-finish project service.
  4. Obtain a free refrigeration training.
  5. Enjoy more efficient, reliable refrigeration!

Silicon Valley Clean Energy Small-to-Medium Business Rebates

Get up to $20,000 in rebates to update your old gas equipment to new electric equipment. Plus, get up to an additional $10,000 if your business is a non-profit.

How It Works

STEP 1: Reserve Your Rebate

Submit a Rebate Application. Have your PG&E account number and a photo of your existing equipment(s) (gas-fired water heater and/or packaged rooftop HVAC unit name plate, gas cooktop or range) handy. You’ll also be asked to review and sign an agreement. Please note that the Rebate Application must be approved before your equipment is installed.

You will receive a confirmation email when approved and will have 90 days to submit a Rebate Claim.

Rebate Reservation Application

STEP 2: Install Your New Equipment

  • Equipment: Review the Equipment Specifications to learn which equipment qualifies.
  • Contractor: Contact a local installer who has experience installing all-electric equipment. You can use any qualified contractor of your choice in order to qualify.
  • Permitting: Make sure to apply for the right building permits with your city or county. Your contractor should be able to help with the permitting process.

STEP 3: Receive Your Rebate

After installing your equipment and receiving your inspection approval, submit a Rebate Claim which will be provided via email. You will be asked to provide photos of your newly installed equipment, proof of project costs, and the permit document(s) signed and dated by your City or County inspector to claim your rebate.

After submitting a Rebate Claim, you will receive an email confirmation. We will issue the rebate and mail it to you or to your contractor, whichever is your preference. Please note that it takes approximately four weeks for a rebate check to arrive in the mail.
