The California Green Business Network has been supporting small businesses since the early 1990’s. Over time our tapestry of impact has been woven with partnerships, with smart, passionate local staff, with dedicated businesses and is ever responsive to the needs and trends of the time.
Becoming a recognized non-profit organization was a significant milestone, furthering our efforts to create a consistent, robust and trusted program for local communities and small businesses to use. In the last 10 years we have helped nearly 4,000 businesses improve efficiency, create a safe and healthy workplace while also being responsible stewards of our community and environment.
As we reach our 10th anniversary as a non-profit, we invite you to join us in celebration and continued action. Your generous donation will support the creation of a revolving fund that will be used to financially incentivize business to integrate cost-saving efficiency measures. Many small and micro-businesses biggest hurdle in implementing changes is the financial capital needed to do so, even a small amount of money makes a big difference to a small business.
This “Impact Assistance Revolving Fund” will provide ongoing funds for programs to use when state/federal assistance funds are unreliable. Impacts felt from this assistance will include: energy saving lighting retrofits, water saving faucet upgrades and waste saving measures to integrate reusables. As the fund grows, it can also include larger projects such as installation of EV chargers and HVAC upgrades or electrification.
Any amount you donate will support small businesses, a cleaner environment and a strong local economy. The options below provide examples of how your donation will make a difference.

$10 – $50 – could support power strips and/or a countertop compost bins
$51 – $100 – could support water saving toilet/faucet upgrade or 3-stream bins
$101 – $250 – could support HVAC cleaning and/or small reusable dishware
$250 – $500 – could support larger reusable dishware and/or
$500 – $1,000 – upgrading small appliances or lighting to energy efficiency options.
$1,000 – $5,000 – support a business in an out-of-network area to receive all that CAGBN offers and/or support larger projects, such as HVAC upgrade or large reusables purchase.
During 2025 all donations will go to support the development of the “Impact Assistance Revolving Fund”. If you wish to donate to the general work of CA Green Businesses Network, please write “general funds” in the comments.
