CAGBN x Intuit Mini-Grant:
Empowering Green Businesses to Thrive

Are you a Certified-Level Green Business or interested in getting certified? Do you have equipment upgrades or improvements to make at your business that will help you operate more sustainably, but are wondering how to pay for it? The California Green Business Network and Intuit are partnering to provide Certified-Level Green Businesses, or businesses that get certified, with a $1,000 Electrification Mini-Grant to help complete electrification projects at your facility.

Now through October 14, 2024, we are accepting applications for electrification projects and awarding $1,000 Electrification Mini-Grants to 65 Certified-Level Green Businesses. All you need to do is fill out a Mini-Grant application, where you can let us know what electrification project you would like to complete and how receiving funding will benefit both your company and the community you serve.

Electrification Mini-Grants can be used to cover or help cover the cost of electrification upgrades such as:

LED lighting upgrades, lighting controls, EV chargers, smart thermostats, electric water heater replacement with heat pump water heater, electric bike, EV car, solar-powered batteries, energy-efficient appliances and much more!

*You can propose projects outside the above examples. This may include projects like inefficient plumbing fixture swap outs, pipe insulation and installation, walk-in cooler maintenance/strip curtains, and other examples, but please note that projects that have the potential for high GHG savings and cost savings, will be heavily weighted.

Project must be undertaken on or after September 9, 2024.

What Businesses Are Eligible to Receive an Electrification Mini-Grant?

  1. Certified-Level Green Businesses (current on their certification) including New and In-Process Green Businesses that complete Certified-Level by the project completion deadline of January 31, 2025 are also eligible.
  2. Operate as a small business with 100 or fewer employees and ≤ $2.5 million in revenue.
  3. Apply below for funding consideration with a proposed project and provide a compelling story about your business and how receiving funding will benefit both your enterprise and the community you serve.
  4. Agree to allow CAGBN and Intuit to use your business story in promotional material and participate in future promotion opportunities if requested.
  5. Project must be undertaken on or after September 09, 2024. Therefore, receipts will need to be dated for 9/9/24 or later.
